with Slayer, Lamb Of God, Mastodon and Thine Eyes Bleed in June-July 2006

Cincinnati, Ohio
The Unholy Alliance tour has started very well... Three shows behind. It s been really cool to play on arenas. I first
thought it might be boring, cos you dont get the same contact with the crowd. You, know, the crowd is far and stage is high and so...
But it's been great. We have fit really good on stage, the
reactions in the Slayer crowd has been great. We've been surprised
how people been shouting our name before our set. And we havent so
far got the reaction what were afraid of, that 5000 people would
scream SLAYEEEER between every song...
Production, people on tour, bands...everythings been great, smooth
and above all expectations.
So, we are having fun here. Minor health problems (i had to get some
antibiotics in Massachusetts), air condition problems (it broke down
and its fucking hot!!!!!!! in the bus) but everything else is great!!!

Quebec city
So we've been through midwest, Texas, Georgia and now some cities in Canada! Well, it s been great still. Very hot and humid everywhere, but i like it. Air condition is fixed in the bus.
World Cup takes my time during the daytime. Well soon it's over and I get to sleep later like the others. Alexi, for example, wakes up usually at 3.30 pm and is wondering why there's no food left in the catering. Duuuude, lunch time is over and you have to wake up earlier to get that food, cos dinner starts at 5pm. But luckily he manages with little food so everything is cool.

What else. Slayer guys are cool! Mastodon dudes rule! Lamb of God, oh, you know, hilarious people, and Thine Eyes boys are a lot of fun to hang with. Also all of the crew is easy to get along with, and they treat everybody so well. So , the opening bands are treated well.
As I said earlier, it is fun to play these big arenas. You can actually can feel the intensity that the crowd creates. Of course club show is a club show, but this is much much more fun that i thought it would be. Well, for me it was enough to be able to open for Slayer, so all expectations exceeded!!!!!!
I have to apologize for that there were no our shirts available here in Quebec. There was some misunderstandings between the delivery company and the venues. But i hope we get more merch for the rest of the canadian shows!
Well...Dead Skin Mask is on now. What a privilege to be able to see Slayer every night! Goddamn!!!

Las Vegas, Nevada
It's been extremely hot everywhere we've been now. Arizona was 116
degrees, meaning 46 celsius. Boys from Finland are not used to this
kind of climate. In Reno, Nevada, was the hottest day of the year,
and we played a show with Lamb Of God and Thine Eyes in a club with
no air conditioning. Nor showers. It was fun to play a small show, but it was so
hot. Roope ( I've never seen anybody sweating during show as much as
he is) was jealous cos on my side there was a huge fan blowing air.
No wonder he was coming all the time on my side.
Yesterday we hung out at the pool, cooler full of drinks and iPod
full of music. Two policemen interrupted our afternoon, by telling us
to put down the music and get rid of the drinks. Well, the sun was
setting anyway and everybody moved in to the casinos.
Drinkin and gambling! Roulette got my 40 bucks! The zero never
came, I cant believe that! Today I was supposed to take a revenge,
but then the sun had me and I had to take a cab to the venue to get
nourished.
Roope got separated from us during the night, but luckily he was
found passed out on the lawn in front of Mastodon bus! Meanwhile part
of our crew, that was spending their day off in LA still, played
this funny game called : "Letīs drink two days in a row!"
Today is show day again and somehow everybody seems to be back to
normal.
